How do I get started with ERS?
Is billing for emergency services legal?
Yes. Once an ordinance is passed by the municipality council, it is legal for a department to begin billing for their services.
Are there any contracts to sign?
No. ERS will not ask you to sign a contract.
How do you charge for your services?
ERS collects a percentage of total costs recovered which motivates us to achieve the highest cost recover possible for you in the shortest amount of time. If you don't get paid, we don't get paid.
What services can you bill for?
We typically bill for non-resident MVA’s, ambulance services, structure fires and hazardous material cleanup We will be happy to customize a plan to meet your specific needs.
How do you determine your billing rates?
Our rates are set by municipality and state guidelines. We constantly monitor all sources to assure rates are fair and reasonable.
Will billing MVA’s increase my insurance premiums?
No. Over 60% of the U.S. population pays auto insurance premiums averaging $776 per annum. There are 6.4 million MVA’s in the United States each year; approximately 23 out of every 1000 policy holders. When you break down the numbers, you’ll see that insurance companies are profitable. Billing for emergency services represents such a small percentage of claims, it would not cause premiums increase.
When do you submit claims?
We accept claims 24/7 through fax or e-mail and process your claims no later than the following business day. Our hours of operation are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Claims will not be processed on holidays.
What if the Insurance Company does not pay for a claim?
If the Insurance Company does not pay after a determined about of time, the account will be written off.
